~The wind of heaven is that which blows between a horse's ears~

Miss Acorn Annie
March 28, 1983-April 24, 2008
On Sunday, April 20, 2008, Miss Annie communicated her legs were sore and tired from chronic difficulties associated with arthritis. She wanted to leave this world in beauty and with dignity. That evening Jerri Carroll connected with her and confirmed the information. The next day I notified Miss Annie Dr. Larry Martin would come before afternoon feed-time a few days later to help her transition. She appeared relieved and her whole being lightened up. Saying good-bye wasn't easy but we were both emotionally prepared and ready. During our eighteen years together Miss Acorn Annie taught me much of what I know about the horse spirit and many aspects of holistic healing. My first clear, conscious, communication experience with another species came from her. She was teacher, friend, confidant, and soul companion. During a trail ride on a sunny day several years ago, I communicated my love and appreciation to her on our way home. Annie this is such a special time, I feel we are one, I thought to her with gratitude. Miss Annie replied,
~ Yes, we are one, and I am your legs. ~
